Role Summary
Internship within the PCIe verification and virtual platform team to build a functional PCIe DIP + AVIP integration reference platform for customer bring-up, debug, and validation. The project spans simulation, emulation, and virtual platforms and includes opportunities to apply AI techniques to verification and debug tasks.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop a reference integration example combining PCIe DIP and AVIP with a TLM virtual platform and RTL via AXI AVIP bridges.
- Enable PCIe enumeration on an operating system running on the virtual platform and validate discovery of AVIP endpoints.
- Integrate and run the RTL on simulation and emulation platforms (e.g., Xcelium, Palladium, Protium) as required for verification.
- Implement debug visibility mechanisms for bring-up and integrate with Verisium Debug and the AI debug assistant where applicable.
- Collect and analyze performance data by sending transactions to SystemVIP/SPA and derive meaningful metrics.
- Apply AI-based techniques to generate assertions, RTL wrappers, connection verification, or other automation using Chipstack technology.
- Document the reference platform, usage instructions, and any integration notes for customers and internal teams.
- Explore extensions such as PCIe Virtual Bridge, SpeedBridge, and applicability to other high-speed protocols.
