Intern — Failure Analysis Engineer
Role Summary
Summer internship supporting the Failure Analysis team in Palm Bay. The intern will assist with product qualification testing and root-cause failure analysis, work with Failure Analysis and Reliability Stress team members, and complete an assigned project to develop a lab capability.
Opportunity to gain hands-on experience with lab instrumentation, test data analysis, and reliability stress testing.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship; intended for current university students. No specific years of professional experience required.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Learn failure analysis workflows and reliability stress testing methods.
- Use and gain experience with laboratory instrumentation and bench equipment.
- Develop scripts to extract and analyze ATE validation data logs for high-speed memory testing.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for memory stability across PVT corners.
- Execute an assigned project to develop a capability for the failure analysis and reliability labs.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate technical findings clearly.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. Person status (ITAR requirement).
- Basic electrical bench or instrument control experience preferred.
- Familiarity with the semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work onsite in Palm Bay, FL.
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor of Science program in Electrical Engineering (BS in Electrical Engineering).
