Intern - F10 QEM Product Quality Engineering, Yield Data Analytics

Role Summary

This is a full-time internship within Quality Engineering and Management focused on automating yield data analysis for semiconductor memory test manufacturing (Fab 10N/X, Singapore).

The intern will develop and validate an AI-enabled automation solution to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of low-yield analysis, while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. This is a full-time intern role; candidates must be available for a minimum five-month commitment (target Jan–May 2027).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for the project-based internship include:

• Design and implement an automated workflow to analyze low-yield test data and produce actionable insights.
• Apply programming, data analytics, visualization, and AI/ML tools to process engineering and test data.
• Learn test strategy, test operations, manufacturing systems, and lot-disposition processes used in semiconductor memory testing.
• Validate and compare the proposed solution against current practices and agreed technical objectives.
• Document requirements, data inputs, process gaps, validation results, and solution limitations.
• Prepare a final project report and present findings to engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes:

• Practical experience with programming or scripting (e.g., Python, Perl) and familiarity with data-analysis workflows.
• Experience with data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI) or equivalent platforms.
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and data-interpretation skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to document technical findings and present results.
• Familiarity with AI/ML tools or AI-assisted workflows and sound judgment about organizational and legal requirements for their use.
• Ability to commit full time for the internship period (minimum five months).

Nice-to-have:

• Prior exposure to semiconductor test, yield analysis, or manufacturing data flows.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a tertiary degree (Bachelor's or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field. The posting expects academic progress toward a relevant degree and availability for a full-time internship of at least five months (Jan–May 2027).
