Intern - Engineering (Device Software and Test)

Role Summary

Entry-level engineering internship on the Device Software and Test team in Chandler, AZ. The intern will support development of test software, data analysis and automation, and assist with parametric and reliability testing in the TD lab while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include writing and maintaining test code, automating data flows, and supporting data analysis and visualization.

  • Develop and maintain Python test code and data-analysis scripts.
  • Automate data transfer from test equipment to web or database systems.
  • Perform data analysis and create visualizations to support test results.
  • Support modification and validation of existing analysis scripts.
  • Learn and perform parametric and reliability testing in the TD lab.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and timelines.
  • Adapt to and use multiple operating systems and test platforms as required.

Requirements

Minimum technical skills and personal attributes required; separate nice-to-have items follow.

  • Must-have: Strong Python programming skills and experience applying AI tools with Python.
  • Must-have: Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision and collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Java or C#.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with semiconductor circuits and National Instruments hardware.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with test automation, data visualization libraries, or web/database integration for test data.
  • Willingness to learn various software platforms (e.g., XP, DOS, Linux, SunOS).

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
