Intern - DRAM Product Test Engineer
Role Summary
Develop, debug and maintain test programs and supporting scripts to validate Micron DRAM products from new-product introduction through high-volume manufacturing. Work with cross-functional partners to ensure test coverage, yield, and product quality.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship; suitable for students or early-career candidates. Prior coursework or practical experience with basic circuit, digital logic, and data analysis is expected.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Develop, debug and support test programs through NPI to high-volume manufacturing.
- Write and maintain test programs and automation scripts (C++, Python).
- Analyze device and test-flow data to inform test coverage and yield decisions.
- Balance test time objectives with yield and quality requirements.
- Contribute to design-for-test requirements and next-generation test capabilities.
- Collaborate with Design, Product Engineering, Fab, Manufacturing, Yield Enhancement, Quality, Systems Integration, and Equipment Engineering teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical fundamentals and competencies; preferred skills listed separately.
- Basic R/L/C circuit knowledge.
- Understanding of digital systems and logic gate representation.
- Basic understanding of CMOS transistor operation.
- Basic statistics and data analytics capability.
Nice-to-have / preferred:
- Programming experience in C++ or Python (intermediate to advanced preferred).
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn Agentic AI tools to improve workflow automation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
