Job Title

Intern - Digital IP Design Engineer, DRAM

Role Summary

Work on design and validation of digital IP circuits for DRAM products within the DRAM IP Development (IPDEV) team. Deliver RTL-to-GDS design and verification work, PVT analysis, automation, and silicon validation to support next-generation memory products.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Hands-on engineering position for students or early-career candidates.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, verification, analysis, automation, and collaboration.

  • Support design, development, and verification of digital IP circuits using RTL-to-GDS methodologies.
  • Perform circuit analysis across process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) corners to evaluate performance and reliability.
  • Develop automation scripts and apply AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and design quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on implementation, verification, and silicon validation.
  • Present technical findings and project results to engineering leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience; preferred items listed below.

  • Must-have: Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Perl, TCL, or MATLAB.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability through academic, research, or project experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with digital IC design, verification, RTL design, synthesis, timing closure, physical design, or EDA tools.
  • Familiarity with applying AI, Generative AI, or AI-assistant tools to engineering workflows.
  • Previous research, internship, or project experience related to memory systems, semiconductor design, or VLSI development.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related STEM field. Completed coursework in CMOS digital circuits, SystemVerilog/UVM, and Static Timing Analysis (STA).
