Intern - Design Verification Infrastructure Engineer (Platform)
Role Summary
Join SiFive's Design Verification Infrastructure team to develop and maintain verification platform technologies used across the company. The role focuses on building platform libraries, tools, and integrations to accelerate design verification and validation workflows.

Entry-level internship. Suitable for students or recent graduates; no specific years of experience required.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Architect, develop, and maintain a scalable Verification Platform for design verification and validation activities.
- Extend Chisel and CIRCT to support platform libraries and tooling.
- Implement platform libraries in Scala/Chisel for test harnesses, stimulus, scoreboards, and generators.
- Build Python libraries and tools to query design intent and metadata for verification flows.
- Develop end-to-end verification tools and methodologies used by Design Verification and validation teams.
- Document and train verification teams on platform best practices and usage.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications:
- Software engineering experience with at least one compiled language and one scripting language.
- Familiarity with modern software engineering practices (version control, testing, CI/CD).
- Experience deploying software systems to production or production-like environments.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Chisel, CIRCT, and/or MLIR.
- Background in systems software such as compilers, databases, or operating systems.
- Understanding of EDA tools and design verification flows.
