Role Summary

As an intern in the NVE Design Engineering team at Micron Semiconductor Italia, you will support the design, implementation, and validation of analog and mixed-signal circuits for NAND Flash memory products.

The role covers transistor-level design, circuit simulation, and block-level validation across the complete design lifecycle to meet performance, power, area, noise, and reliability targets.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Suitable for undergraduate students or recent graduates; no specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on analog/mixed-signal circuit design and verification:

• Support design, implementation, and validation of analog and mixed-signal circuits used in NAND Flash (charge pumps, amplifiers, voltage regulators, ADC/DAC, bandgap references, sensor interfaces, power management).
• Perform transistor-level design and optimization to meet targets for performance, power, area, noise, and reliability.
• Run and analyze circuit simulations (DC, AC, transient, noise, Monte Carlo, corners) to verify functionality and robustness across process, voltage, and temperature variations.
• Contribute to block-level simulations and validation using standard industry simulators.

Requirements

Essential personal attributes and preferred technical skills.

• Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and effective verbal communication in English.
• Nice-to-have: Proficiency in analog and mixed-signal CMOS circuit design.
• Nice-to-have: Understanding of device physics, noise, variability, reliability, and power integrity.
• Nice-to-have: Some experience with industry-standard simulation tools (e.g., SPICE-based simulators) and ability to convey complex technical concepts in verbal and written form.

Education Requirements

B.S. in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
