Role Summary

Semester internship on the MSB Test Engineering team in Singapore to design and deliver an automated performance monitoring dashboard and data analytics tool for backend test manufacturing operations. The role focuses on data extraction, processing, visualization, basic alerting, and collaboration with test engineers to improve operational visibility and response time.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). No specific years of professional experience required; intended for students in a relevant degree program.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for the internship project include:

• Design and implement an automated performance monitoring dashboard for test-floor operations.
• Extract, clean, and process operational and test data from manufacturing databases.
• Develop data visualizations and analytics to track metrics such as yield, cycle time, equipment health, and throughput.
• Implement basic alerting for key metric deviations to support faster engineering response.
• Document dashboard design, provide a user guide, and produce a project summary.
• Collaborate with test engineers and participate in team discussions; incorporate feedback from mentors.
• Explore AI/automation tools where applicable to enhance monitoring and data processing workflows.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills for successful candidates:

• Must-have: general problem-solving ability, basic data analytics, basic programming skills (e.g., Python), effective communication, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
• Must-have: availability to complete a minimum 5-month semester internship (September 2026 to February 2027).
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI), experience with AI/automation tools (Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate), exposure to semiconductor test-floor data and test equipment procedures (e.g., Advantest, Mongoose).

Education Requirements

Enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (semester internship from September 2026 to February 2027).
