Intern - CMOS Process Integration
Role Summary
Process integration and device engineering intern focused on CMOS process integration for DRAM manufacturing. The role provides hands-on experience in semiconductor process integration, electrical data analysis, yield improvement, and cross-functional engineering collaboration in a fabrication environment.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Internship). Position targets students and early-career candidates. Internship duration: minimum 6 months.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include supporting process integration activities, analyzing process data, and communicating technical findings.
- Support integration of process modules across various CMOS module loops.
- Analyze inline and electrical data to identify yield detractors and process anomalies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (yield, device, PI, process groups) to drive continuous improvement.
- Document findings and present updates to engineering and leadership teams.
- Use AI tools to improve problem-solving efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes for successful performance.
- Familiarity with semiconductor process flows and common unit processes (CMP, film, etch, photolithography).
- Basic understanding of mainstream memory technologies (DRAM, NAND, NOR).
- Experience with statistical data analysis and interpreting inline/electrical data.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated and able to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Availability for a minimum 6-month internship.
Nice-to-have:
- Specific knowledge of DRAM process flow.
- Experience using AI tools for data analysis or problem solving.
Education Requirements
MS student in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Physics (current graduate students preferred).
