Job Title
Intern - Automotive MCU NPI
Role Summary
Support the Automotive MCU team to create documentation, code samples, measurements, and training materials for NXP S32K5xx and S32K1xx microcontroller products. The internship runs for approximately 12 months with assigned mentors providing training and coaching.

Entry-level internship. No specific years of professional experience required; this is a trainee role.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical content creation, testing, and customer-facing support related to S32K5xx and S32K1xx products.
- Create and maintain product documentation and application notes for S32K5xx and S32K1xx families.
- Develop and deliver code samples and example projects for automotive MCU features.
- Perform data measurements (including power consumption) and capture results.
- Test software versions, middleware stacks, and supported operating systems for the S32K products.
- Test silicon modules and drivers for peripherals: SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, CAN, LIN, PWM.
- Provide basic customer support and answer technical questions about S32K1xx and S32K5xx products.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience for this internship.
- Familiarity or coursework in embedded systems and microcontroller fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of embedded interfaces and protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, PWM.
- Ability to write and maintain code samples and basic software tests for MCU platforms.
- Experience or interest in measuring and documenting power consumption and other hardware metrics.
- Good written and verbal communication for preparing documentation and answering customer queries.
Nice-to-have:
- Prior exposure to NXP S32K series or automotive MCU development.
- Experience with embedded operating systems, middleware stacks, or driver testing.
