Fall 2026 Co-Op - Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

Work as a digital design co-op on mixed-signal integrated circuit projects, focusing on digital filters, data conversion, embedded SoCs, and high-precision data acquisition systems. You will contribute RTL design, verification, behavioral modeling, and lab test support as part of the digital design team during a 12–16 week full-time Fall 2026 co-op.

This is a hands-on role where work directly impacts product development in a production IC environment.

Experience Level

Entry-level co-op / internship (student); intended for graduate students.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement Verilog RTL modules for DSP and data-conversion ICs.
  • Perform logic simulation, functional verification, and synthesis in a mixed-signal environment.
  • Collaborate with the design team on integration and system-level verification.
  • Support behavioral modeling of analog and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Assist with test vector generation and laboratory test development.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and tools:

  • Strong understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) concepts.
  • Proficiency in Verilog and Synopsys-based design flows.
  • Experience with MATLAB for algorithm development and analysis.
  • Familiarity with PWM techniques, transistor-level simulators, and place-and-route tools.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
