Fall 2026 Co-Op - Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Intern on the Mixed-Signal Verification Engineering team supporting functional verification and validation of mixed-signal products. Collaborate with digital and analog designers, applications engineers, and manufacturing test teams on pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation.
12-week full-time co-op during the Fall 2026 semester focused on verification planning, testbench development, coverage analysis, debug, and verification flow work.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship (co-op). Intended for current students (MS or PhD) with little or no full-time industry experience.
Responsibilities
Key tasks for the role:
- Assist verification planning and strategy development.
- Support creation, maintenance, and enhancement of verification testbenches.
- Develop directed and constraint-random tests and contribute to verification flow development.
- Perform coverage analysis and help populate coverage models.
- Debug failures, perform failure analysis, and support root-cause resolution.
- Build digital/mixed-signal models and collaborate across teams for validation.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes:
- Strong background in Hardware Description Languages: Verilog or VHDL.
- Familiarity with Hardware Verification Languages and methodologies: SystemVerilog/UVM, Vera, or e.
- Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals and verification methodologies.
- Experience or coursework in testbench development, coverage-driven verification, and debug preferred.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field; enrolled for Fall 2026.
