Intern: Application Engineering - System Verification (Emulation)

Role Summary

Intern on the System & Verification Group (HSV) working with hardware emulation and prototyping tools (Palladium, Protium) to support internal teams and customers. The role is based in Belo Horizonte and reports into Application Engineering/System Verification.

Experience Level

Entry-level intern. Intended for students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program; targeted graduation mid-2027.

Responsibilities

Work with engineers to learn and apply emulation and prototyping tools and support verification activities.

• Learn and use Cadence emulation/prototyping tools (Palladium, Protium).
• Support the team in solving technical problems and delivering solutions to customers.
• Collaborate with engineers on technical tasks and customer requirements.
• Participate in internal training and progressively take on greater responsibility.
• Document findings and help maintain technical resources.

Requirements

Core qualifications and skills expected from candidates.

• Interest in digital design, hardware verification, or embedded systems.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new tools and methods.
• Problem-solving mindset and curiosity about new technologies.
• Available to work approximately 20 hours per week and present onsite in Belo Horizonte.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Linux/Unix command-line environments.
• Participation in hackathons, robotics projects, or open-source hardware/software.
• Understanding of computer architecture or digital logic design.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; expected graduation mid-2027.
