Intern: Application Engineering - Digital Simulation/Verification & Agentic AI

Role Summary

Part-time internship on the Application Engineering team in Belo Horizonte focused on digital simulation and verification using Cadence tools and emerging Agentic AI techniques.

The intern will support engineers by running simulations, assisting with basic automation and scripting, documenting processes, and learning verification workflows.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for a current university student. Part-time commitment (~20 hours/week).

Responsibilities

Work under supervision to support verification and simulation tasks; learn and document processes.

• Learn and understand digital simulation and verification flows and how they integrate into chip design.
• Gain exposure to Agentic AI applications that automate verification tasks.
• Use industry tools such as Xcelium and Verisium under guidance.
• Write simple automation scripts (Python or TCL) for test setup and execution.
• Set up and run simulations and assist engineers in debugging runs.
• Document procedures and share learnings with the team.
• Participate in mentorship and continuous learning activities.

• Basic programming ability or willingness to learn (Python, TCL).
• Curiosity, proactive attitude, and a problem-solving mindset.
• Interest in embedded systems, hardware verification, or related areas.
• Able to work approximately 20 hours per week on site in Belo Horizonte.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; expected graduation mid-2027. (Bachelor's-level student status is required.)
