Intern - Agentic AI Workflow Development & Validation for Digital Design
Role Summary
Work with Application Engineers to develop, test, and validate agentic and generative AI workflows that automate tasks and improve productivity in semiconductor digital design flows. This is a hands-on internship focused on building and evaluating AI-driven solutions on real design challenges.
Experience Level
Entry-level (internship). No specific professional years of experience required; position is intended for students or early-career candidates.
Responsibilities
The intern will contribute to research, implementation, and validation of AI workflows for digital IC design.
- Investigate applications of Generative AI and Agentic AI in digital implementation workflows.
- Design, implement, test, and validate AI-driven workflows that automate engineering tasks.
- Collaborate with Application Engineers to evaluate agent performance on real customer designs.
- Develop benchmarks and validation methodologies to quantify productivity gains and effectiveness.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and abilities; preferences listed separately.
- Must-have: Knowledge of digital IC design methodologies and semiconductor design flows.
- Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must-have: Excellent communication skills; fluent in English.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows, or orchestration frameworks.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Python programming and automation.
Education Requirements
Targeted at MSc/MEng students in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Microelectronics.
