Interconnect NPI Product Engineer

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Interconnect NPI team focused on high-speed Ethernet and InfiniBand transceiver products. The role integrates mechanics, thermal, process, hardware and test data to diagnose failures, run lab debug and implement lasting fixes to improve yield and performance.

The position is data-driven and cross-functional, delivering production-ready product quality through failure analysis, test-plan design and engineering automation.

Experience Level

Mid-level — 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyze electrical test failures and multi-test data to identify root causes.
• Design and execute lab debug experiments and engineering test platforms.
• Improve product performance by coordinating with Process, Mechanical, Hardware and Thermal teams.
• Design and improve factory test plans for coverage, throughput, cost, and yield.
• Lead task forces and cross-functional working groups on high-impact issues.
• Drive yield improvement programs and manage failure analysis for field and production issues.
• Collaborate with Customer Support, Marketing, Engineering, Quality and Reliability teams.

Requirements

Must-have skills and abilities:

• 3+ years of proven engineering experience in related domains.
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Experience with statistics and data analysis tools (e.g., JMP).
• Proficiency with scripting/programming for automation and data processing.
• Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to work with diverse teams.
• Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and perform under stress.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Chemical Engineering is required.
