Intel Foundry Senior Customer Quality Engineer
Role Summary
Serve as the primary customer-quality representative for Intel Foundry partner organizations, focusing on quality, reliability, and customer experience for OSAT (assembly/test) services. Work across internal teams and external customers to manage incidents, audits, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience Level
Senior level. Guidance: approximately 8+ years of applicable industry experience (or equivalent industry experience).
Responsibilities
Key day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Represent Customer Quality to external customers and internal Intel Foundry teams.
- Manage excursions and incidents involving customer material and lead root-cause and containment activities.
- Field and resolve manufacturing-quality inquiries from customers with timely responses.
- Support customer audit requests and provide required documentation and follow-up.
- Drive cross-site continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OSAT service quality and customer experience.
- Track and report customer KPIs internally and with customers; develop and implement action plans to improve metrics.
- Advocate for customer needs within Intel Foundry and help establish business processes and collateral to support customers.
- Measure customer quality experience for OSAT services and coordinate corrective actions with customer-facing teams.
Requirements
Required and preferred skills and experience.

Must-have: Substantial applicable experience in IC packaging / OSAT environments and direct manufacturing experience.

Must-have: Experience managing excursions, change notifications, RMA processes, or audit support in a production setting.

Must-have: Experience working directly with external customers and coordinating cross-functional responses.

Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proven ability to drive corrective actions and improvements.

Must-have: Effective communication, negotiation, and customer-service skills for highly interactive, cross-geography collaboration.

Nice-to-have: Familiarity with assembly process technology, advanced packaging, quality & reliability standards, 8D methodology.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Engineering (or similar) is stated as the typical qualification; a PhD is listed as an alternative with reduced experience years. The posting also allows equivalent industry experience obtained through work, internships, coursework, or research.
