Infrastructure Engineer (eInfochips)

Role Summary

Design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure and high-performance computing (HPC) platforms to support silicon design, verification, emulation, and software teams. Deliver automation, CI/CD, observability, and platform reliability to reduce manual toil and accelerate engineering iteration cycles.

This role requires on-site presence; preferred locations include Cupertino, CA or Austin, TX, with travel to Arrow client offices as requested.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires about 5+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include building and operating infrastructure and automation that enable silicon development workflows and platform reliability.

• Collaborate with silicon design, verification, emulation, and software teams to understand workflows and reduce iteration time.
• Design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure and HPC clusters using schedulers such as Slurm.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure-as-code and service deployments with testing and rollback mechanisms.
• Own platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency from design through production operation.
• Develop monitoring, diagnostics, alerting, and observability to surface actionable insights on utilization, reliability, and cost.
• Establish incident response processes, runbooks, and documentation to support operational excellence.
• Automate routine tasks and proactively implement preventive measures to improve resilience and reduce operational toil.
• Benchmark infrastructure to recommend optimal resources for silicon development and iterate based on customer feedback.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• 5+ years of experience across software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
• Production-quality coding experience in at least one modern language (Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
• Experience with AWS and building services using AWS products; infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK).
• Linux/Unix administration and experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) clusters and workload schedulers such as Slurm.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and incident management at scale.
• Familiarity with semiconductor development workflows or electronic design automation (EDA) environments is preferred.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
