Infra IP Design Verification - Senior Engineer
Role Summary
Lead end-to-end verification of complex IP designs with emphasis on Network-on-Chip (NOC) verification. Define verification strategy, build scalable UVM environments, and ensure functional and code coverage closure while collaborating with cross-functional hardware teams.
Experience Level
Senior-level role. Experience band: 8β12 years of relevant verification or hardware engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Accountable for verification planning, execution, and delivery for IP/SoC subsystems.
- Define and lead verification strategy, planning, and execution.
- Architect and develop scalable UVM-based environments.
- Design and maintain testbench components: agents, monitors, scoreboards, sequences, coverage models.
- Drive functional and code coverage closure and signoff.
- Perform RTL and testbench debug and root-cause analysis.
- Ensure smooth integration and reuse of verification components.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to design verification engineers.
- Manage and deliver multiple concurrent projects with ownership of timelines and quality.
- Collaborate across cross-site and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and hands-on verification experience.
- Strong expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Experience with AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB).
- Proven hands-on experience in NOC verification.
- Practical knowledge of constrained-random verification, functional coverage, and SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA).
- Strong RTL and verification debug and root-cause analysis skills.
- Scripting experience in Perl and/or Python.
- Experience in verification integration, reuse, and regression/automation optimization.
Nice-to-have:
- Exposure to coherency protocol verification.
- Experience in SoC/interconnect verification and scalability.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience. (Posting specifies: Bachelor's +3 years, Master's +2 years, or PhD +1 year of relevant hardware engineering or related experience.)
