Role Summary
Responsible for formal verification of infrastructure and peripheral RTL for SoC/IP blocks. Part of the Infra and Periph engineering team delivering solutions for mobile, compute, and automotive products.
Work involves using industry-standard formal tools and algorithms, developing assertions and abstraction techniques, and collaborating with design, systems, and EDA/CAD teams worldwide.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Perform formal verification of infra and peripheral RTL using tools such as JasperGold or VC-Formal.
- Write and maintain temporal logic assertions and formal properties; apply abstraction and equivalence checking techniques.
- Analyze complex RTL, debug verification failures, and close coverage and correctness gaps.
- Develop automation and scripts (Perl, Tcl, Python) to support formal flows.
- Collaborate with design, systems and EDA/CAD teams across sites to drive verification closure.
- Document verification plans, results, and best practices.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 4–12 years of VLSI industry experience with formal verification focus.
- Hands-on experience with formal verification tools (JasperGold, VC-Formal) and formal methodologies.
- Proficient in Verilog/SystemVerilog and SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA); comfortable reading complex RTL.
- Experience writing temporal logic assertions and implementing abstraction/decomposition techniques.
- Scripting proficiency in Perl, Tcl and/or Python for automation.
- Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with model/equivalence checking algorithms and SoC/IP verification flows.
- Familiarity with EDA/CAD tool flows and cross-site collaboration on verification issues.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's (Science/Engineering) with 3+ years, Master’s with 2+ years, or PhD with 1+ year of ASIC/VLSI related experience as stated. Listed bachelor's fields include Computer Science, Electronics and Communications Engineering, and Information Systems; other science/engineering or related fields acceptable per posting.
