Job Title

Industrial Project Manager

Role Summary

The Industrial Project Manager leads and delivers industrialization and manufacturing projects across multi-disciplinary, multi-site and remote teams. Primary focus areas include NPI industrialization (through R-gate and VRU to entitlement), volume ramp-up, multi-sourcing transfers, cost and capacity improvement, and package derivative development.

The role coordinates stakeholders across sites and functions (engineering, manufacturing, logistics, marketing), defines industrial requirements, and ensures safe customer-ready launches and stable production ramps.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The role requires more than 7 years of semiconductor experience and typically >3 years leading industrial or comparable projects, including multi-site and remote team leadership.

Responsibilities

Accountable for planning, driving and owning industrial activities from NPI initiation through entitlement and for operational improvement projects.

  • Lead industrialization activities in NPI core teams up to and beyond R-gate; develop and execute VRU plans to achieve entitlement and safe launch.
  • Manage volume ramp-up after R-gate to ensure customer deliveries, yield improvements, test-stage reductions, and multi-site production increases.
  • Plan and execute multi-sourcing and fab-transfer projects for diffusion and back-end (assembly & test).
  • Lead industrial improvement and innovation projects (cost-down, waste reduction, capacity and yield improvements); manage incidents using an 8D structure.
  • Review and manage manufacturing changes: qualification plans, waivers, risk assessments, non-conformances.
  • Transfer product and production know-how to manufacturing sites and support factory readiness.
  • Provide input to product line roadmap and industrial strategy (processes, packages, capex, locations).
  • Maintain and extend knowledge of industrial solutions through internal and external technical contacts and benchmarking.

Requirements

Key skills and experience required for immediate contribution. Education and formal certification are summarized separately below.

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry with technical background in product engineering, test engineering, or diffusion/process integration.
  • At least 3 years' experience leading industrial projects, including multi-disciplinary and multi-site teams (Europe, Asia, USA) and remote collaboration.
  • Proven experience in automotive environments and familiarity with automotive requirements (e.g. ISO/TS 16949, AEC-Q100).
  • Strong stakeholder management across Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics and Marketing.
  • Experience with Business Creation and Management (BCaM) processes.
  • Skilled in problem-solving methodologies: 8D, DMAIC/6-sigma, root-cause analysis (5 Whys variants).
  • Excellent English communication (written and spoken); proven ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Demonstrated team leadership and ability to motivate virtual, multi-cultural, cross-functional teams; ability to delegate effectively.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (~5%).

Education Requirements

Master's or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (preferably Electronics). PMI or equivalent project management certification in recognized methodologies is expected.
