Image Sensor Development Engineer
Role Summary
The Image Sensor Development Engineer will develop next-generation image sensors to support a product division roadmap within KLA's Global Products Group (Surfscan). The role focuses on device characterization, sensor-to-camera-electronics integration, system verification, and transferring mature designs to operations for production.

Responsibilities
Primary duties include:
- Perform comprehensive image sensor characterization and device-level analysis to meet product requirements.
- Design and validate sensor performance and alignment with product-division objectives.
- Integrate image sensors with camera electronics and perform system-level integration and debugging.
- Execute system testing and verification to ensure reliability and quality.
- Participate in transferring developed technologies to operations to enable scaling and production deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, apps, product) to support roadmap and product release activities.
Requirements
Essential skills and experience:
- Hands-on experience in image sensor characterization, validation, and device testing.
- Experience integrating sensors with camera electronics and performing system-level troubleshooting.
- Practical experience in system testing, verification, and supporting technology transfer to production.
- Strong experimental, measurement, and problem-solving skills relevant to imaging devices.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on FPGA experience for prototyping, real-time processing, or system integration.
- Background in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer inspection, metrology, or related equipment systems.
Education Requirements
