Job Title

IC Test Program Validation and Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA Networking to validate and automate IC test programs for Switch, NIC, and SmartNIC silicon as products move from design into mass production. The role focuses on defining validation methodologies, developing automated tests and infrastructure, and building scalable regression, results-collection, and reporting flows.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, firmware, test, DFT, security, and production teams to improve test stability, coverage, and debug visibility across wafer-level and final-test environments.

Experience Level

Mid-level — 3+ years of relevant SW/HW validation or automation infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing and operationalizing IC test validation and automation to ensure production-quality IC test programs.

  • Define and automate IC test validation methodologies and procedures.
  • Develop validation tests and supporting automation infrastructure.
  • Build Jenkins-based flows for regression execution, result collection, and reporting.
  • Use Git-based workflows for test infrastructure development, reviews, and releases.
  • Integrate Jira and MCP-based tools into validation, debug, and issue-tracking flows.
  • Improve test stability, coverage, and debug visibility for wafer-level and final-test systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex test failures and improve automated testing methodologies.
  • Collaborate with HW, SW, FW, SPE, SLT, DFT, security, and production teams; act as gatekeeper for IC test program quality before production release.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for day-one impact; additional items list ways to stand out.

  • Must-have: 3+ years in software/hardware validation or automation infrastructure.
  • Must-have: Strong programming skills and experience writing automated tests.
  • Must-have: Experience with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Must-have: Experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking systems and with MCPs/automation agents or tool/API integrations.
  • Must-have: Excellent communication skills working with diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Must-have: High self-learning ability and strong execution quality standards.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and building dashboards, parsers, or automated report-generation flows.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in IC product testing, debug tools, or test methodologies (DFT & test).

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
