Job Title

IC Test Program Validation and Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA Networking as an IC test validation and automation engineer responsible for transferring Network Silicon IC products (Switch, NIC, SmartNIC) from design to high-quality mass production. You will define validation methodologies, build automation infrastructure, and create scalable regression flows for wafer-level and final-test environments.

Work cross-functionally with hardware, software, firmware, DFT, security and production teams to improve test stability, coverage, quality, and debug visibility.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” requires 3+ years of experience in software/hardware validation or automation infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing and automating IC test validation flows, building regression infrastructure, and supporting test debug and production release readiness.

  • Define and automate IC test validation methodologies and procedures for wafer-level and final-test.
  • Develop validation tests and automation infrastructure for IC test programs.
  • Build Jenkins-based flows for regression execution, results collection, and reporting.
  • Use Git-based workflows for test infrastructure development, code review, and releases.
  • Integrate Jira and MCP-based tools into validation, debug, and issue-tracking flows.
  • Improve test stability, coverage, and debug visibility across test environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex test issues and refine automated testing methodologies.
  • Collaborate with HW, SW, FW, SPE, SLT, DFT, security, and production teams to enable production release.
  • Act as a gatekeeper for IC test program quality prior to production release.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required for immediate contribution. Nice-to-have items listed separately.

  • Must-have: 3+ years of experience in software/hardware validation or automation infrastructure.
  • Must-have: Strong programming skills and experience writing automated tests.
  • Must-have: Experience with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Must-have: Experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking systems.
  • Must-have: Experience with MCPs, automation agents, or tool/API integrations.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for test infrastructure.
  • Must-have: Excellent communication skills and ability to work across diverse technical teams.
  • Must-have: High self-learning ability and strong execution / quality standards.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in IC product testing and debug, including use of IC testers such as UltraFlex.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience building validation frameworks, parsers, dashboards, or automated report-generation flows.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of DFT and test methodologies.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field (specified requirement).
