IC Test Lab Shift Specialist

Role Summary

Lead and support daily activities in the IC Test Engineering Laboratory in Yokneam, acting as the focal point between engineering teams, operators, contract manufacturers, and equipment vendors. Ensure efficient execution of ATE setup, debug, equipment readiness, and laboratory procedures.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” 2–4 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor test environments.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include supervising lab shifts, coordinating engineering requests, maintaining equipment, and supporting product bring-up and qualification.

  • Lead day and night ATE lab activities; supervise lab personnel during ATE setup and system-level testing.
  • Coordinate and prioritize engineering and production test requests; support urgent planned and unplanned tasks.
  • Support bring-up, characterization, qualification, and yield-improvement efforts for new products.
  • Develop and document lab procedures, standards, and maintenance plans.
  • Maintain lab organization, cleanliness, safety, and ESD compliance.
  • Maintain inventory of consumables, spare parts, sockets, load boards, and accessories.
  • Work with equipment vendors and OSAT partners to resolve equipment and process issues.
  • Collect and analyze test data to support debugging and qualification.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for the role:

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor test environments.
  • Strong leadership and team-management skills; experience supervising technicians/operators.
  • Solid understanding of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and troubleshooting.
  • Practical experience with IC testers, wafer probers, handlers, load boards, sockets, system-level and reliability test equipment.
  • Experience supporting engineering debug, characterization, and qualification activities.
  • Experience with data collection and analysis tools.
  • Practical, solutions-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Deep understanding of test platforms (testers, handlers, wafer probers).
  • Project management and coordination experience.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience using AI tools in test or data analysis.

Education Requirements

Practical engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software engineering (practical engineer). No additional degrees, certifications, or equivalent-experience language specified.
