Role Summary

Execute physical layout for standard cells, I/O pads, and mixed-signal IP using advanced-process design rules and verification flows. Deliver manufacturable, high-performance layouts on project schedules and collaborate with engineers across sites.

Experience Level

Mid-level — 3 to 4+ years of hands-on IC layout experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on layout implementation, floorplanning, and cross-team coordination to meet schedule and performance targets.

• Implement layouts for standard cells, I/O, and mixed-signal/full-custom blocks according to design and process rules.
• Plan and execute transistor- to block-level floorplanning and physical implementation on schedule.
• Apply advanced process rules to deliver robust, manufacturable layouts for advanced nodes.
• Work with verification and circuit engineers to resolve DRC/LVS/EDC issues and ensure signoff readiness.
• Adopt new layout methodologies and communicate effectively with cross-site teams.

Requirements

Key technical skills and attributes expected for successful candidates.

• 3+ years of hands-on IC layout experience in standard cell, memory, full-custom, or analog/mixed-signal design.
• Experience with deep sub-micron / advanced nodes (examples: 5nm, 3nm, 2nm, 1.4nm).
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso and Calibre physical verification tools (DRC, LVS, ERC, Antenna, EM/IR analysis).
• Understanding of ESD and latch-up principles relevant to I/O design.
• Scripting skills (Shell, Python, Tcl) or Cadence SKILL programming are a plus.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, manage schedules, and collaborate in team settings.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering is specified. The posting also references 3–4+ years of hands-on IC layout experience.
