IC Design & Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Lead the design and verification of ASIC integrated circuits across architecture, logic, and system-level simulation. Responsible for driving designs from specification through synthesis, place-and-route, timing and power analysis, and documentation.

Serve as a technical lead and escalation point, coordinating cross-functional teams and vendor interactions to deliver complex IC projects.

Experience Level

Senior. The posting specifies experience guidance: 8+ years with a Bachelors, 6+ years with a Masters, or 3+ years with a PhD.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Design and develop integrated circuits for ASIC projects, including architecture and logic design.
• Define module interfaces and simulation formats; develop and run system-level simulations.
• Oversee verification, synthesis, place-and-route, and timing and power analysis to meet project requirements.
• Drive documentation of designs and maintain design artifacts through delivery.
• Lead major projects, set priorities, and act as escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and evaluate external capabilities to support development.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to the team.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Extensive experience in ASIC/IC design and verification across the full flow from high-level design through implementation and validation.
• Strong skills in architecture and logic design and in conducting system-level simulation and verification.
• Experience with synthesis, place-and-route flows and timing and power analysis.
• Proven project leadership, ability to lead delivery of new products/processes, and to influence cross-functional priorities.
• Problem-solving ability on complex technical issues and experience mentoring other engineers.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience evaluating vendor capabilities and managing external technical partnerships.
• Broad functional knowledge across complementary fields relevant to IC development.

Education Requirements
