Role Summary

Join Broadcom's Data Center Solutions Group to design digital ASICs for PCIe switch and enterprise storage products. The role focuses on RTL implementation and support, micro-architecture work, and bringing designs to silicon validation.

Experience Level

Senior - requires 12+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include architecture interpretation, RTL design, timing optimization, and cross-team support through silicon validation.

• Analyze architecture specifications; author and review high-level design documents.
• Develop micro-architecture and produce documentation.
• Implement high-performance Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL from specifications, including CDC handling, multiple power domains, low-power techniques, complex algorithms, deep pipelining, and multi-threaded designs.
• Optimize RTL to converge on timing closure.
• Perform robust RTL debugging and deliver stable RTL solutions.
• Work with Verification, Software/Firmware, Emulation, and Validation teams to resolve RTL issues.
• Provide lab support for silicon as it progresses through validation.
• Must work on-site; remote work is not permitted.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL design and implementation.
• Experience with RTL optimization strategies for timing closure.
• Strong RTL debugging skills and problem-solving for complex designs.
• Experience with asynchronous clock domain crossings, multiple power domains, and low-power design techniques.
• Experience integrating third-party IP and designing multi-threaded or deeply pipelined logic.
• Experience supporting lab bring-up and silicon validation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

Education Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree.
