Role Summary

The IC Design Consultant will support customers in applying Siemens Calibre physical verification tools to complex IC designs. The role is customer-facing, working with design teams to enable verification flows and ensure designs meet foundry and customer requirements.

This position sits in the Customer Services/Software team and focuses on technical enablement, consulting, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Experience Level

Entry-level — 0–2 years of professional experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include consulting on physical verification, enabling tool adoption, and collaborating with customers and internal teams.

• Deliver consulting services across physical verification activities.
• Enable customer adoption of Calibre EDA software and verification methodologies.
• Develop and maintain Calibre-based physical verification flows.
• Explain technical solutions and how products address customer objectives.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships; collaborate with team members for shared success.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools experience, and work considerations.

• Knowledge of backend layout design and physical verification methodologies (DRC/LVS/xRC concepts).
• Familiarity with Siemens Calibre physical verification tools (Calibre DRC, LVS, xRC, PERC).
• Programming experience on Linux and scripting with Python.
• Customer-facing consulting skills and ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Willingness and ability to travel and work at customer sites for short or extended periods.

Nice-to-have:

• Prior hands-on experience with Calibre flows or EDA consulting engagements.
• Ability to work effectively in challenging or fast-paced situations.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
