HW Emulation Engineer
Role Summary
As an HW Emulation Engineer you will develop and operate hardware emulation platforms to validate ASIC/SoC RTL prior to silicon. You will integrate and debug RTL in emulation environments and work with design, verification, firmware, and software teams to enable pre-silicon validation.
This role is on-site within Intel's design engineering organization focused on high-performance semiconductor IP and platform validation.
Experience Level
Mid-level (3+ years relevant industry experience)
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include building and running emulation platforms and supporting pre-silicon validation activities.
- Develop and maintain hardware emulation platforms for ASIC/SoC designs.
- Integrate, debug, and validate RTL designs in the emulation environment.
- Collaborate with design, verification, firmware, and software teams to enable pre-silicon validation.
- Optimize emulation flows and resolve functional, performance, and platform issues.
- Support platform bring-up, testing, and deployment.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog-based verification methodologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in RTL design and debugging.
- Strong understanding of digital design fundamentals and architectural features.
- Experience debugging complex systems and working in cross-disciplinary teams.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with hardware emulation platforms such as Cadence Palladium or Synopsys ZeBu.
- Proactive approach to learning and adapting to new tools and methods.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
