Job Title

High Speed SerDes Validation Engineer - New College Grad 2026

Role Summary

Join the DGX Server Product Engineering team to develop and execute system-level validation for GPU-accelerated computing products. You will design and automate test plans, run stress and performance workloads, and debug hardware/software interactions on server platforms.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New college graduate. Role is intended for recent BS/MS/PhD graduates or equivalents.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on end-to-end product validation, coordination with partners, and resolving system-level issues.

  • Develop and own test plans, automation, coverage metrics, and release-to-production validation.
  • Create system-level stress and performance tests using real-world Deep Learning/AI workloads.
  • Execute tests in hardware labs, analyze results, and drive bug resolution to closure.
  • Coordinate with ODMs, component suppliers, QA, and cross-functional teams across time zones.
  • Design for validation (DfV) and plan lab resources and diagnostics for production readiness.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware-software interactions on GPU-accelerated platforms.

Requirements

Key must-have skills and capabilities for immediate contribution.

  • Ability to work on site in a hardware lab environment 5 days a week.
  • Experience validating and debugging complex systems and running real-world workloads and factory diagnosis tools.
  • High-speed IO and SERDES validation experience (50 Gbaud/s and above) and strong understanding of DSP-based SERDES architectures (must-have).
  • Familiarity with lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
  • Coding and scripting experience (C/C++, Python, JavaScript or similar) for test automation and tooling.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience collaborating across teams and suppliers.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with datacenter systems (management, security, networking, storage) and Ethernet/InfiniBand architectures.
  • Hands-on SERDES performance tuning and circuit/waveform analysis experience.
  • Track record of process improvement and automation tooling.

Education Requirements

Recently completed a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
