High Speed IO Analog Mixed Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and develop analog/mixed-signal (AMS) IP for next-generation high-speed IOs, high-bandwidth memory PHYs, and die-to-die Gbps proprietary PHY solutions. Work within an AMS IP design team to define circuit architectures, author block specifications, and drive pre- and post-silicon verification and validation.

Responsibilities
Primary technical and delivery responsibilities:
- Architect and design high-speed IO/SerDes analog and mixed-signal circuits and PHY IP blocks.
- Collaborate with system/platform and SoC architects to translate system-level specifications into AMS block-level requirements.
- Author AMS block and architecture technical specifications and verification plans.
- Develop and execute pre-silicon verification and post-silicon characterization/validation test plans.
- Work with project managers, IC designers, and physical designers to meet schedule and technical targets.
- Drive AMS designs through to production release.
Requirements
Must-have skills and qualifications:
- Hands-on design experience with multi-Gbps serial links and high-bandwidth memory interfaces and PHY/IOs.
- Strong fundamentals in mixed-signal circuit architecture and design techniques for receivers, transmitters, and clocking (PLL/DLL).
- Experience architecting and designing analog AMS blocks such as phase interpolators, low-jitter clock distribution, bandgaps, biasing circuits, LDOs, amplifiers, and comparators.
- Deep understanding of high-speed IO signaling topologies, link-budget analysis, jitter/SNR metrics, and PPA trade-offs.
- Experience with FinFET advanced CMOS process nodes (16 nm / 7 nm / 3 nm and below) and transistor-level performance considerations.
- Proficiency in AMS design flows and common tools (Cadence Virtuoso/schematic capture, Spectre and/or HSPICE).
- Proven track record taking AMS designs into production and delivering to schedule.
- Strong technical communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with PCIe, USB, DDR4/DDR5, HBM2/HBM3, GDDR5/GDDR6, and chip-to-chip PHY IPs.
- Experience with low-power techniques for high-speed custom digital circuits (CMOS/CML) and transistor-level timing sign-off.
- Familiarity with clock and data recovery, duty-cycle correction, clock mixers, and related mixed-signal subsystems.
Education Requirements
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field β or equivalent practical experience.
