Job Title
HIG Product Engineer - Media Health
Role Summary
Product Development Engineer on the Media Health team responsible for developing and validating test strategies, features, and test code to ensure High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) product performance.
The role interfaces with Design Engineering, Test Engineering, and Product Engineering to support pre-silicon validation, test program development and debug, yield supervision, and process integration.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting requires proven experience in product engineering; specific years of experience are not stated.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include test development, validation, debugging, and cross-team coordination to improve product quality and yield.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering to run pre-silicon simulations and validate test strategies and DFT circuits; provide feedback to DE, TE, and PE.
- Define required tester resources and assist with pre-silicon checklist items.
- Modify and validate test programs to meet product requirements and ensure silicon performance.
- Support Test Engineering with test program debug, data analysis, and test development.
- Support fabrication sites and process integration by developing tests that improve process feedback.
- Debug failures using test/experimental data and electrical/physical analysis; identify root causes and update testing strategies to improve yield and quality.
- Monitor yields and investigate deviations from projections until resolved.
- Provide technical training and act as a product-specific point of contact for data interpretation and problem resolution.
- Develop tools and optimized test strategies to improve processes and testing efficiency.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution.
- Experience with digital circuit design and ASIC testing using scan tools.
- Proficiency in Python and C programming for test development and data analysis.
- Experience with custom BIST/APG programming for memory testing.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and test environments.
- Hands-on bench testing experience to isolate issues and develop tests.
- Experience debugging test programs and analyzing electrical/test data to determine root causes.
- Understanding of schematics and signal integrity as they relate to device testing.
Nice-to-have:
- High-volume production data extraction and analysis (JMP and/or Python).
- Experience with circuit simulations (SPICE) and Verilog.
- Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes and process integration.
Education Requirements
Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent practical experience will be considered where specified.
