HIG HBM PE Component Validation Engineer

Role Summary

Work on validation and bring-up of HBM component testing for silicon preparation and product qualification. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality and application teams to develop test flows, debug failures, and ensure product reliability.

Responsibilities

Deliver component validation activities for HBM silicon and support cross-functional preparation for production.

  • Coordinate with manufacturing and external teams to prepare for silicon and ensure required resources are available.
  • Identify, validate, and deploy HBM component validation equipment and testing flows.
  • Debug failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective fixes in design or process.
  • Work with Design Validation and Quality teams on customer returns and reliability investigations.
  • Troubleshoot, develop, and validate test programs for HBM component validation.
  • Create and deliver technical presentations and participate in cross-functional meetings.
  • Provide on-the-job training and act as a product-specific technical point of contact.

Requirements

Required technical skills and professional abilities.

  • Must-have: Experience with Linux and programming in Python and/or C/C++; familiarity with Verilog and UVM; experience with version control systems (git, svn).
  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to work in a team.
  • Must-have: Good communication, data analytics and presentation skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in the memory/semiconductor industry and familiarity with HBM/DRAM operations and computer networking.
  • Personal: Self-motivation and enthusiasm for validation engineering.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (with ~1–2 years experience) or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; preference for candidates with a background in memory/semiconductor engineering and a balance of hardware and software skills.
