HIG HBM Component Validation Engineer

Role Summary

Engineer on the High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Component Validation team responsible for developing and maintaining validation test programs and infrastructure for advanced HBM products. The role ensures stable, scalable validation testing with high reliability and low code-related escapes.

Works at Fab 10A in Singapore and collaborates with cross-functional teams across design validation, electrical failure analysis, lab support and manufacturing to deliver product readiness.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include development, execution and support of component validation programs and test infrastructure.

  • Develop, maintain and release test programs for HBM component validation aligned to validation milestones.
  • Run, debug and optimize test programs on component validation testers; improve test time and parallelism.
  • Ensure test stability and repeatability across sites and equipment; participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support test equipment qualification and re-qualification activities.
  • Assist hardware readiness: handler, socket, loadboard and probe card setup.
  • Validate high-speed I/O and support eye-diagram and signal-integrity checks.
  • Use version control and Agile collaboration tools to deliver and track work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for design validation, execution and electrical failure analysis; attend technical meetings.

Requirements

Key technical skills and experience required or strongly preferred.

  • Must-have: Knowledge of computer architecture / DRAM architecture and validation flows.
  • Must-have: Programming experience in C/C++, Python, Perl or similar languages.
  • Must-have: Understanding of DFT and functional testing (loopback, MBIST, scan, etc.).
  • Must-have: Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments, repository systems and Agile tools such as Confluence and Jira.
  • Must-have: Verilog / SystemVerilog simulation exposure.
  • Strongly preferred: Interest in AI, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements
