Head of Program & Portfolio Management — SerDes Networking Solutions
Role Summary
Lead and scale the Program Management function for NXP's SerDes Networking Solutions product line. Accountable for end-to-end program execution, portfolio governance, resource alignment, and customer engagement across multi-site teams in a post-acquisition growth context.
Serve on the Product Line leadership team to align business strategy, technical roadmaps, and customer commitments.
Experience Level
Senior — typically requires 15+ years of relevant experience in automotive or high‑tech industries with significant leadership responsibility.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include program and portfolio management, cross-functional execution, and executive customer engagement.
- Build, lead and develop the Program Management team for SerDes Networking Solutions.
- Manage project portfolio and pipeline; align investments, priorities, and resources with business strategy and budget.
- Oversee program definition: market input, product positioning, and execution strategy (make/buy/partner).
- Partner with Product Line leadership to prepare and defend portfolio decisions.
- Drive disciplined planning, risk management, budget tracking, and milestone control across multi-site, cross-functional teams.
- Provide transparent, consistent reporting on program status, risks, and corrective actions.
- Act as executive interface to OEMs and Tier‑1 partners in coordination with Sales, CAS, FAEs and Product Management.
- Support integration of acquired technology into scalable program structures, processes, and governance.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience to perform the role.
- 15+ years of experience in automotive or high‑tech industries with leadership in program, product, or general management roles.
- Proven record leading large, cross‑functional, multi‑site projects with substantial budget and revenue responsibility.
- Experience with complex system development (hardware, software, validation, qualification) and automotive NPI processes.
- Strong business and financial acumen; capable of balancing strategy, execution, and customer needs.
- Leadership presence with ability to influence at executive level and align diverse global stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and experience operating in a multicultural, distributed environment.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in automotive networking, ADAS/IVI systems, or SerDes networking domains.
- Experience integrating acquisitions and scaling program structures and governance.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Engineering preferred; MBA is a plus. A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience, is acceptable.
Base salary range (California): $220,400 to $303,100 annually. Total compensation may include benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity; actual pay varies by qualifications and location.
