Job Title
HBM Media Health Product Engineer (DFT)
Role Summary
As a Product Engineer on the High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Media Health team, you will develop, deploy, and optimize wafer-level (probe), burn-in, and ATE test strategies and code to validate HBM DRAM products. You will collaborate with Fab, Yield Improvement, Design, Test, and Process Integration teams to ensure device performance and improve yield.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting does not specify a precise years-of-experience requirement.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and validate DFT circuits and test modes with Design Engineering, including pre-silicon simulation and communicating design issues.
- Define required tester resources with Media Health and test teams for pre-silicon tasks.
- Develop, debug, and optimize probe, burn-in, and ATE test programs; examine and interpret test data.
- Support fabrication sites and Process Integration through test development to improve process feedback.
- Investigate failures and identify root causes using electrical and physical analysis techniques.
- Monitor yields, lead investigations when yields deviate from projections, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical training and act as a product-specific point of contact for engineering teams.
- Apply AI-augmented tools and scripts to automate routine engineering tasks and improve test flows.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications (education items summarized separately below):
-
Must-have: Experience in DRAM or other memory testing, test program debug, and interpretation of test data.
-
Must-have: Ability to craft and deliver technical presentations to partner teams.
-
Must-have: Experience automating engineering tasks, data analysis, and reporting; familiarity with using engineering tools.
-
Nice-to-have: Understanding of semiconductor fabrication, defectivity, marginality, and degradation mechanisms.
-
Nice-to-have: Basic analog and digital circuit design knowledge and signal-integrity awareness.
-
Nice-to-have: Programming experience in C, C++, and Python; Linux environment and command-line skills.
-
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with AI tools for engineering development (example: Claude Code).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Master’s degree preferred. The posting references years of experience but does not specify a number.
