HBM Layout Engineer
Role Summary
As a Layout Design Engineer on Micron's High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) team in Guadalajara, you will produce physical layouts for HBM products and support verification and delivery for AI and high-performance computing applications. The role involves collaboration with global engineering teams and applying automation to accelerate development.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early-career β 2+ years of relevant experience in VLSI, PCB design, pre-silicon development, or semiconductor engineering.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include physical layout and verification for HBM components and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Perform physical layout of leaf cells, standard cells, and sub-blocks for HBM products.
- Implement and interpret physical verification checks (DRC, LVS) and related validation activities.
- Collaborate with multi-functional global teams to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery.
- Apply a systematic, detail-oriented approach to IC layout design and proactively manage assignments.
- Apply AI-driven methodologies to automate engineering processes and accelerate product development cycles.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred technical skills and experience (degree details listed under Education Requirements).

Must-have: 2+ years experience in VLSI, PCB design, pre-silicon development, semiconductor engineering, or related areas.

Education Requirements
