Job Title

HBM Hardware Emulation Architect

Role Summary

Architect, enable, and deploy hardware emulation capabilities for next-generation HBM products. Partner with design, firmware, and system teams to define emulation needs, build the emulation ecosystem, and provide pre-silicon validation support.

This role focuses on delivering emulation platforms, creating testbenches and transactors, and enabling hybrid validation flows to accelerate firmware bring-up and early software development.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 10+ years of relevant engineering or design engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include building and supporting hardware emulation flows for complex SoCs and subsystems.

  • Develop and maintain hardware emulation environments for complex SoCs and subsystems.
  • Compile, configure, and debug large-scale RTL designs on emulation platforms (e.g., Palladium, Veloce, Zebu).
  • Support pre-silicon validation, firmware bring-up, and early software development using emulation.
  • Debug functional, performance, and connectivity issues across RTL, firmware, and system layers.
  • Create emulation testbenches, transactors, and models for system-level use cases.
  • Enable hybrid validation flows (simulation + emulation + FPGA prototyping as needed).
  • Provide hands-on support during tapeout, bring-up, and customer enablement milestones.

Requirements

Core qualifications and skills required or preferred for success in this role.

  • 10+ years of relevant engineering or design engineering experience (must).
  • Strong experience with RTL design and debug (must).
  • Hands-on experience with hardware emulation platforms and large-scale emulation deployments (must).
  • Solid understanding of SoC architecture, interconnects, and IP integration (must).
  • Experience debugging full-chip or subsystem-level designs and interfacing with firmware or low-level software (must).
  • Experience enabling hybrid validation flows and FPGA prototyping (nice-to-have).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
