Job Title

HBM Component Validation Engineer

Role Summary

The engineer will develop and maintain validation test programs and infrastructure for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) components to ensure reliable, scalable validation across sites and equipment.

The role sits on the Component Validation team and supports test execution, test infrastructure readiness, and cross-functional validation activities leading to product readiness.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include developing test programs, maintaining test infrastructure, and supporting validation execution and analysis.

  • Develop, maintain, and release test programs for HBM component validation.
  • Run, debug, and optimize programs on component validation testers to improve test time and parallelism.
  • Ensure test stability and repeatability across sites and equipment.
  • Support qualification and re-qualification of test equipment.
  • Prepare hardware for validation: handler, socket, loadboard, and probe card setup.
  • Validate high-speed I/O; assist with eye-diagram and signal-integrity checks.
  • Use version control, Agile tracking, and collaboration tools; participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with design validation, electrical failure analysis, lab support and other cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution.

  • Knowledge of computer architecture and DRAM/HBM architecture and related flows.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language used for test development (C/C++, Python, Perl).
  • Understanding of DFT and functional testing concepts (loopback, MBIST, scan).
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments, repository systems, and Agile collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira).
  • Verilog/SystemVerilog simulation exposure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-have: interest or experience in AI, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is specified.
