Hardware Verification Intern - Solutions Engineering
Role Summary
The intern will join Arm's Solutions Engineering verification team to support development and verification of subsystem designs that integrate Arm IP. You will work with local and remote engineers on real project tasks, contributing to verification flows, testbenches and process improvements.
Work is with multiple IP products and EDA tools; the role includes learning opportunities and mentorship within a product verification team.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship. Typical duration ~6 months (full-time or part-time), starting in 2027. Suitable for current degree students with limited professional experience.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Develop testbenches and test cases to verify hardware designs to high standards.
- Investigate alternative design or verification implementations and propose improvements.
- Develop and trial new verification processes and flows for the team.
- Collaborate with engineers across teams and contribute to project deliverables.
- Use EDA tools and explore AI-assisted development techniques under supervision.
- Attend trainings and incorporate feedback from mentors.
Requirements
Must-have and job prerequisites:
- Understanding of computer architecture and micro-architecture concepts.
- Excellent attention to detail, clear communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Right to work in Hungary for the full duration of the internship; Arm cannot provide visa sponsorship for this role.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with high-level simulation languages or HDL (VHDL, Verilog).
- Exposure to verification techniques and testbench development.
- Experience with programming in C or C++ and using UNIX/shell environments.
- Previous use of EDA tools or AI-assisted development workflows.
Education Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in and returning to a higher education degree program (Bachelors, Masters or PhD) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related technical field. Enrollment and student status are required for Arm internships.
