Hardware Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the verification team in Cairo to develop and execute verification plans and verification environments for hardware designs. Work on simulation and co-emulation platforms, integrate software and hardware DUTs, and collaborate with design and architecture teams to validate functionality and close coverage gaps.
Experience Level
Entry-level β 0β3 years of relevant hardware design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute verification plans and test cases; define testbench architecture.
- Design and maintain simulation and co-emulation verification environments.
- Work with existing complex testbenches targeting simulation and co-emulation platforms.
- Integrate software and hardware DUTs and use multiple programming languages within the verification environment.
- Implement and monitor code and functional coverage metrics; identify and close coverage gaps.
- Run, debug, and optimize complete testbenches on Questa and Veloce platforms.
- Collaborate with design and architecture teams to resolve issues and verify requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and document/report verification progress and coverage status to stakeholders.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- Advanced SystemVerilog for testbenches and assertions.
- Advanced UVM experience for building reusable verification environments.
- Proficiency with code coverage and functional coverage methodologies.
- Experience integrating commercial VIPs into UVM testbenches.
- Knowledge of RTL development and Verilog; solid understanding of digital circuits and computer architecture.
- Proficiency in C and C++ and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl, Shell, and Tcl.
- Strong English communication and presentation skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
- Nice-to-have: SystemC programming experience.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or a related field. The role targets candidates with 0β3 years of experience in hardware design verification.
