Test Engineer

Role Summary

Provide engineering support to the Test Development Engineering team for New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining programs. Work includes test hardware development, software/automation, circuit validation, and project execution.

Experience Level

Entry-level. Fresh graduate or 0–1 year related experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities span hardware design, software tools and automation, circuit validation, and project documentation.

• Design and layout PCBs for reliability and test boards; create and maintain component and PCB libraries.
• Support hardware design reviews, documentation, and hardware architecture standardization.
• Develop and maintain software tools to improve engineering productivity and automate test workflows.
• Implement utilities for data collection, analysis, reporting, and visualization.
• Validate and troubleshoot custom circuitry; perform soldering/desoldering of prototypes.
• Conduct bench evaluations, measurements, and verification of hardware designs.
• Document validation results, create test plans, and maintain validation matrices and engineering reports.
• Support AER lot execution and monitoring; maintain PLM documentation and engineering records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project execution and deliverables.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
• Basic knowledge of software development principles and programming concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Fresh graduate or up to 1 year related experience.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer).
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Python, or VB.NET and scripting/automation concepts.
• Experience with laboratory equipment: oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, power supplies.
• Knowledge of semiconductor test, product qualification, or reliability testing concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
