Job Title
Hardware Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for block- and IP-level verification of configurable interconnect, memory subsystem, and coherency IP used in SoC and multi‑chiplet designs. Work closely with design and software teams to develop verification plans, implement UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches, and drive coverage and debug to closure.
Experience Level
Senior — 8+ years of hands-on verification experience at block/IP/SoC level.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain verification plans for highly configurable IPs used in SoC and chiplet systems.
- Implement UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches, test sequences, checkers, and scoreboards.
- Integrate software-driven test scenarios and collaborate with software teams on configurable testbenches.
- Collaborate with RTL designers to debug failures, drive root-cause analysis, and close functional and code coverage.
- Develop and maintain verification infrastructure, scripts, and automation (e.g., Python).
- Use simulation, emulation, and formal tools as needed to validate complex protocols and corner cases.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 8+ years of hands-on block/IP/SoC verification experience (experience level noted above).
- Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog and deep experience building UVM-based testbenches.
- Familiarity with industry-standard EDA simulators and debug flows.
- Experience with Python or similar scripting languages for verification automation.
- Knowledge of Arm AMBA protocols (AXI, APB, AHB) and experience with interconnects, caches, cache coherency, memory subsystems, or NoC IP.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills; experience working cross-functionally with design and software teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Arm CHI protocol.
- Experience with formal verification techniques and emulation platforms.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (listed in source).
