Hardware Validation Intern
Role Summary
Join the Hardware and Silicon validation team working on analog validation of amplifiers and preamp products used in optical-electronic systems. This role is hands-on and lab-based, focused on post-silicon block and system validation, measurement, and data analysis.
Work is performed onsite in the engineering lab in Singapore using high-end test equipment to verify performance across operating corners and generate test reports for internal and external customers.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship - suitable for current students or recent graduates. No specific years of professional experience required.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities in this internship include validation, test development, and data analysis:
- Perform block-level and system-level post-silicon functional and performance validation of preamp products and standard IP.
- Conduct electrical characterization and power analysis across process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) corners.
- Develop and run automated test scripts for validation and operate lab equipment such as AWG, oscilloscope, VNA, DMM, etc.
- Collect and analyze measurement data, document results, and produce high-quality test reports.
- Debug issues, isolate root causes, and propose techniques to resolve problems.
- Communicate progress and findings with team members and stakeholders.

- Comfortable working onsite in an engineering lab and operating electronic test equipment.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret electrical measurement data and produce clear reports.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for hardware validation tasks.
- Effective verbal and written communication; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred: experience developing or running automated test scripts and familiarity with instrumentation (AWG, oscilloscope, VNA, DMM).
- Preferred: hands-on project experience you can describe in detail (school or prior role).
- Nice-to-have: experience with Python scripting for test automation or data analysis.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field with a focus on product performance characterization and hardware validation.
