Job Title
Hardware / Software Intern
Role Summary
Internship positions are available in hardware (Architecture, AI/ML, Digital, Analog) and software (Computer Architecture, Embedded, Graphics, Firmware). The role supports SoC development across design, verification, and software integration, contributing to features from high-level design through implementation and validation.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for current university students.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Design and verify RTL and functional units for SoC integration.
- Work on SoC design flow tasks: synthesis, place-and-route, timing analysis, and power optimization.
- Contribute to analog and multidisciplinary integrated circuit layout activities.
- Develop, integrate, and debug software across the stack for pre-silicon and post-silicon tasks.
- Research and prototype AI-related software using open-source libraries and models where applicable.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, layout, verification, firmware) to resolve engineering issues.
Requirements
Key technical expectations:
- Foundational knowledge in digital logic, computer architecture, or embedded systems.
- Experience or coursework with RTL coding and simulation (Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog) for hardware roles; programming in C/C++ or Python for software roles.
- Familiarity with debugging, verification approaches, and basic EDA tool usage is beneficial.
- Ability to learn new domains quickly (RTL, verification, physical design, analog, firmware, embedded).
- Good problem-solving, communication skills, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Nice-to-have: prior project or internship experience in SoC design, EDA tools, or AI software development.
Education Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a closely related technical field.
