Role Summary

Join the Network Switch Group to perform silicon bring-up, characterization and qualification for high-speed networking switch ASICs used in large-scale AI data centers. The role focuses on lab testing, interface validation, automation and maintaining test infrastructure.

Experience Level

Senior — role expects experienced engineers. Typical background per posting: ~10+ years (Master's) or ~12+ years (Bachelor's) or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities center on silicon validation, lab operations and automation.

• Bring up new silicon revisions and platform arrival testing.
• Characterize silicon interface protocols and timings (I2C, SPI, PCIe Gen5, MDIO).
• Characterize silicon across environmental conditions (voltage and temperature).
• Develop Python 3 scripts to automate and streamline qualification tests.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot lab systems and test equipment.
• Design methods (including robotic handlers) to speed high-volume testing.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for this role.

• In-depth knowledge of IC technology and ASIC design flows.
• Thorough understanding of high-speed Ethernet, relevant IETF RFCs, and CPU I/O bus technologies.
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Perl, Python, C/C++ or similar) for test automation.
• Experience with lab test equipment, system-level test setups, and hardware debug.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Education Requirements

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with ~10+ years experience, or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with ~12+ years experience, or equivalent practical experience. Concentration in digital design implied. (Degrees and equivalent experience accepted.)

Additional Information

Annual base salary range reported: $143,800 - $230,000.
