Role Summary
Work in the Network Switch Group to bring up and qualify high-performance networking switch ASICs and multi-die solutions used in AI data centers. The role focuses on silicon bring-up, interface characterization, environmental qualification, test automation, and lab automation.
Experience Level
Senior — posting specifies MSEE with 10+ years or BSEE with 12+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include silicon qualification, interface verification, and test automation.
- Bring up new silicon revisions and perform qualification testing.
- Characterize interface protocols and timing (I2C, SPI, PCIe Gen5, MDIO).
- Perform environmental and stress testing across voltage and temperature ranges.
- Develop and maintain Python 3 scripts to automate silicon qualification tests.
- Operate and maintain lab systems and test equipment.
- Develop methods and integrate robotic handlers to increase test throughput.
Requirements
Required technical skills and experience.
- Deep knowledge of IC technology and ASIC design flows.
- Thorough understanding of high-speed Ethernet, IETF RFC protocols, and CPU I/O bus technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Perl, and C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, protocol timing analysis, and test automation.
- Experience operating and maintaining lab equipment and test systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education Requirements
MSEE with 10+ years of relevant experience, or BSEE with 12+ years. Emphasis on digital design and electrical engineering or related technical fields.
