Hardware Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the hardware verification team to plan and execute block/IP/sub-system and SoC verification for high-performance AI inference silicon. The role focuses on building verification environments, developing tests, driving closure against metrics, and collaborating with design, emulation and silicon validation teams.
Experience Level
Mid-level — typically requires 3+ years of relevant design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities and resolving functional issues in collaboration with design teams.
- Define and implement block/IP/SoC verification plans and metrics.
- Build verification testbenches and develop functional tests based on the verification plan.
- Drive verification to closure using functional and code coverage targets.
- Debug, root-cause, and resolve functional failures in the design.
- Collaborate with Design, Model, Emulation and Silicon validation teams to ensure design quality.
- Contribute to verification infrastructure, tools and flows.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role.
- 3+ years experience in block/IP/sub-system and/or SoC level verification using SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies.
- Experience with EDA tools and scripting (Python, TCL, Perl, Shell) to build verification tools and flows.
- Experience architecting and implementing design verification infrastructure and executing full verification cycles.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience developing UVM-based verification environments from scratch.
- Experience verifying high-speed interfaces (PCIe, UCIe, DDR) and ARM/RISC-V sub-systems or SoCs.
- Experience with Chisel and strong Python programming skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other technically related fields is listed as a minimum requirement. A Master’s degree in similar technical fields is preferred.
